Proper aftercare helps ensure your comfort and enhances your results. Please follow the
guidelines below for the best outcome from your treatment.
Immediately After Treatment
- Do not rub, massage, or apply pressure to the treated areas for at least 4 hours.
- Stay upright for 4 hours; avoid lying flat or bending forward excessively.
- You may experience small bumps, redness, or tenderness at the injection sites—this is normal and
usually resolves within a few hours.
First 24–48 Hours
- Avoid strenuous exercise, saunas, hot tubs, and excessive heat (these can increase swelling or migration of product).
- Do not drink alcohol or take blood thinners (aspirin, ibuprofen, fish oil, vitamin E) unless medically
necessary, as these can increase bruising. - Do not schedule facials, facial massage, or skin treatments (micro-needling, lasers, peels) for at least 1 week.
- Avoid wearing tight hats, headbands, or anything that may put pressure on the treated areas.
First Week
- Bruising and swelling are typically mild, but if present, they should improve over the first few days.
- Makeup may be applied the next day.
- Results will gradually develop over 2-10 days, with full effect visible at 2 weeks.
Healing Timeline
- Minor redness, bumps, or bruising: usually resolve within a few days.
- Results: begin to appear within 2-10 days and reach maximum effect in about 14 days.
- Duration: Typically lasts 3–4 months; consistency with treatments, along with retraining the muscle
movements, helps results last longer.
When to Call Your Provider
- Severe headache, vision changes, difficulty swallowing, or trouble breathing (very rare).
- Drooping of eyelid or eyebrow that does not improve after several days.
- Any unusual or concerning symptoms.
